Wall Decor

I decided to make this post as I realised the other day I am actually really happy with my room and although there are some changes I would like to make and I'm always wanting to add things in its kinda at a place where it is looking good (in my opinion)!
I'm really into room decor and as I said about wanting to add things in and just always make it look that little bit better with something I saw online or in somebody else's room or just a random idea that popped into my head. The main thing in my room that probably won't change anytime soon in the walls and I really like the things which are on my walls and I don't think that I need any more stuff on my walls. The only thing I would change is the blue wall as its an okay colour however I'm not really a fan and this room was actually my sisters before she went to Uni and she painted it so I would like to paint over that wall in something more neutral.
Lets get into it then, so here is whats on my walls, hope you like it!

P.S. Sooo, I've kinda been obsessed with Pinterest lately; lookin at food, tattoos, diy's and room decor cause they have the cutest ideas. Anyway I have a board "room decor" which is mainly just ideas of how I would love my room to look so if your wanting some inspiration then check it out and just Pinterest in general.

Deliciously Ella

I have always loved cooking, especially baking and have spent many hours trying different recipes. There are a few cookbooks which are my go to and this is one of them!

This is my most recent obsession and I am getting through all the recipes and loving them. Healthy living is something that I am becoming to be very interested in. I am not vegan or vegetarian or have any specific diet but that doesn't mean I can't make foods which follow those diets. The plant based diet is something that maybe in the future I would like to follow but mainly just having a healthy lifestyle is most important.

Anyway, actually onto the book, I got this book for christmas and it has loads of amazing recipes but what I love the most is that there are a list of essential ingredients which is a great thing to keep in mind for food shopping or ingredients to use. There is also recipes to make some of these such as milk alternatives and nut butters.

Because I have no life I actually organised my book by putting mini bookmarks in some recipes which I would like to try in different categories; breakfast, mains and snacks!

These are some recipes which are tried and tested and loved;

Quinoa Pizza crust
Quinoa Tabbouleh
Buckwheat Focaccia
Falafels
Ten- minute Tomato Pasta
Sweet potato brownies
Raw brownies
Almond milk

This is most of the recipes that I have tried as only a few have not been successful and there are loads more recipes to try which will most likely mean lots more favourites to come!

My favourite TV programmes (like ever)

This list of amazing tv programmes is in a vague order ( going from the ones I like the most to the bottom where I still love the programmes but not as much as the ones at the top, however the ones at the top are basically equal and many are equal in liking as its really hard to put them in an order).
Now I've explained that, lets get into it .. enjoy!

Gilmore girls
This is about a mother and daughter named Lorelai and Rory who live together in a town called Stars Hollow. You see everything that happens in their lives; school, family, friends and relationships. There are many amazing characters that you WILL love and laugh at too.
I watched this when I was younger on the tv (I know, the olden days when people actually watched live tv!) I loved it so last year watched it on Netflix and finished it faster than I should of and am now obsessed again. I was about a season into watching it again and Netflix blocked it so I can no longer watch it but hopefully that will change or I am thinking about buying a boxset.
I would suggest this programme to everyone as I think that anyone can enjoy it and you may want to get binge watching as after 9 years (I think) of it being finished there is a new season coming out!! (I am so freaking exited)!!!!
*update you can now watch Gilmore girls on Netflix wherever you are in the world!

Castle
Castle is about a writer called Richard Castle who writes crime novels and works with the NYPD unit which solve Homicides (murders) to get inspiration and also help them with his different ideas to solve cases. Every episode there is a new murder and the team work together to solve it. There is also a lighter side to it where it goes into Castle's life which can sometimes connect to what is happening in the murders.

The unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This programme is relatively new and unfortunately (for the people who don't have Netflix) a Netflix original so only available on Netflix. It is about a girl named Kimmy who is rescued from a cult and then moves to New York for a new start. She is totally clueless which adds to the humour and is just so different from other programmes. I think everyone should watch this and will love it for different reasons.

The big bang theory
A classic. I have watched every episode of this programme many times and it never gets old, there is no end to the love I have for this programme. It is about four nerdy guys and at first what seems a stereotypical blonde but obvi there is more to her than that and the guys are more than just nerds! (I don't mean that in a they are actually secret agents way, just that you get to know them and know their personalities)

Pretty little liars
There isn't much to say about this as you either already watch and know the theme tune by heart, "gotta secret..", or know about it and don't want to watch it and hey we have free will so I'm not gonna force ya! However it is a great programme and if you watch it then please comment about it as its one of those programmes which needs to be discussed for some unknown reason? The new season just came out and it is definitely so much better than the last, its only been one episode however there is just more drama and it doesn't seem like it is going to drag.

p.s. this post is taking forever to write so we are probably a couple of seasons ahead on all these programmes and there is all new stuff to say!! but ah well..

Lie to me
There is a major problem with this programme.... there are only three seasons which is just not enough. Moving on.. I found this programme really made me think, it is about a man who uses facial expressions and gestures to try and tell if somebody is telling the truth. He often helps solve crimes but I just find the whole idea intriguing.

How I met your mother
This is a similar situation to the big bang theory as I watched many times and still love. It is about a guy named Ted who is telling his future kids the story of how he met their mother. It is not solely focused on this as there are many seasons and it is not a straight road to find out what happened. This programme has ended and every time I watch the final episode it is so emotional as there is so much build up to find out who she is that it is kinda sad when its all over. I personally don't think the ending was the right choice however I don't think there could of been an ending that everyone would of been happy with but the ending they went with was not predictable but not the way to go.

Ghost whisperer
I am not really sure if I believe in ghosts or not but this programme definitely gave me a perspective about all that stuff which I don't know if I believe but I want it to be real.
It is about a women who can see ghosts (which are people who haven't moved on to the afterlife yet) and she helps them move on.
If you have seen the programme then keep reading as this may be a little spoiler for some but anyway this programme is great however when her friend dies in the shop I just felt that the show lost something a little bit?

Young and hungry
This is the perfect light weekend binge watch!
This is about a girl named Gabi who gets a job as a personal chef and basically her life around that.

To make this post not super freaking long here is just the rest of the programmes without an explanation!

-Scandal
-Life unexpected
-White collar
-Melissa and Joey
-Made in Chelsea
-Cupcake wars
-Orange is the new black
-Friends
-Would I lie to you
-Scream
-Outnumbered

April Favourites

This is what I've been loving in the month of April!
Nivea post shave balm
So, no i haven't turned into a man or started to shave my face! As you may have seen you can use this stuff as primer so thats what I've been doing. It is super cheap ( 2 pound something from Wilko), smells really good (I personally love the smell of mens products) and it helps your makeup stick to ya face!

Maybeline eyeshadows (I have the colours: pink gold, on and on bronze, creamy beige)
I had these ages ago and a couple of weeks ago, got them out from my unused makeup and ended up getting back into loving them again. They work great as a base or on top to add extra colour.

Khloes Kardazzle
Yess, there is a product called that and it is for your face! I got this around christmas from clothes show live and it is actually pretty good. The eyeshadows are really pigmented and my fave colour is the reddy brown in the corner. They do fade throughout the day however, but load on some setting spray and you'll be fine. The highlighters and blush are also great I use the whiter looking one on the left and this also fades a little bit but it gives a really pretty glow and applies nicely.

Dried mango
I don't really know what to say except I love it because it tastes great and is the best snack! (also from eating so much of it I have found that the best places to buy it are Sainsbury's and Tesco's (their own brand) and Urban Fruit).

Sunglasses
These sunglasses are from Topshop and I'm obsessed, I just think that when you put on a pair of cute sunglasses you immediately look more 'glam'!

Zoeva brush (this is the brush separately but not in rose gold)
This brush is an eyeshadow brush and it is the only thing that you will need to do eyeshadow! Thats a pretty hefty statement but my point is this brush can put the colour on and blend it and makes applying eyeshadow really easy.

Revision Planner
If you are also in exam mode as you have GCSE's or other exams then firstly, I feel for you and we are in this together and secondly, get a revision planner, specifically this planner as its so cute. This is from an online shop called Sighh and they sell the nicest stuff. They do lots of phone cases (I have this one) and a few prints and other bits with the 'cutest' (replace cutest with anything else but I can't think of any other words but nice and cute) designs. So, basically check it out or be doomed!!

Bomber Jacket
I'm not going to say much about this as I have done a whole post dedicated to this beautiful jacket. I like it, I wear it, so I put it in my favourites.

Asos shoes
When I first got these shoes I was unsure whether I liked them so I messaged my friends and there were different opinions they were mainly like their nice and "they remind me of bowling shoes", not the response I wanted, but anyway after walking around in them and looking in the mirror at them a lot I decided to keep them and I am eternally thankful to past Olivia as I love them as they don't show my 'ew' feet and they look really spring/summery with every outfit and make me a little taller which is always a bonus.

Spicy bean and mushroom quesadillas

This recipe is great for lunch or dinner and tastes really good!
I named it spicy but it really isn't very spicy but if you would like it to be more spicy you could add a red chilli or extra spices.

Ingredients - for 1 person (easily doubled)
Wraps ( I used mediterranean herb wraps for extra flavour) - 1
Baked beans - 1/2 can
Ground cumin- 1/2 teaspoon (taste the sauce and add this to your own liking)
Baby button mushrooms sliced in halfs - 1/2 handful (basically as many as you want)
Cheese - you can use any cheese, I used cheddar (mozzarella, feta would go well with it)
Milk- tablespoon

Recipe
1) Put the beans into a pan and heat them up.
2) Add the cumin and then put the beans on a low heat to keep warm.
3) Put a knob of butter into the griddle pan and add the mushrooms.
4) Pour over about a tablespoon of milk and move the mushrooms around so that they don't burn.
5) Place the mushrooms onto the wrap then place this into the pan.
6) Pour over the beans then sprinkle over some cheese and fold the wrap over.
7) Leave the wrap in the pan until warm and slightly crisp.
8) Serve up in wedges and enjoy!

New York

So.. I went to New York for my summer holidays and it was amazing!
New York is so beautiful and if you ever get the opportunity to go there,  grab it and go!

I decided to do a post as I liked the outfits I wore and wanted to share but i took the pictures on my phone so they aren't very good quality (sorry about that) and I also have some pictures of the trip in general which have creeped in..
Enjoy!
